During your internship, your first-hand business experience will be complemented by training, both facilitated and self-paced. You will also get an opportunity to meet and learn from Chase leaders. Your colleagues and fellow interns will be a strong support network as you learn and grow. A dedicated management team will work with you to ensure you have an outstanding experience.
We provide a comprehensive performance management process including mid-summer and final evaluations with your assignment manager, as well as periodic check-ins with program management to ensure you’re on the right track. Top-performing summer analysts may be invited to join the full-time Chase Leadership Development Program.

The Chase Leadership Development Program (CLDP) for MBAs is designed to develop future business leaders within Consumer & Community Banking. Your internship with the Chase Leadership Development Program (CLDP) will be challenging, instructive and very rewarding. Bringing your passion for marketing and strategy, you’ll work on a real, high-stakes business issue in one of the following areas:
No matter what your assignment is, you will have the chance to exercise your current professional capabilities while building new skills. We offer a robust learning and development curriculum including sessions on leadership, personal development and other business skills to supplement your program experience. Throughout your ten week experience, you will have access and exposure to the senior leadership team at a truly dynamic company with global resources and a long history.
We provide a comprehensive career coaching and performance management process including mid-summer and final evaluations with your assignment manager, as well as periodic check-ins with program management to ensure you’re on the right track. Top-performing Summer Associates may be invited to join the full-time Chase Leadership Development Program within a specific group.

As a Client Service Intern, you’ll serve as a critical component of our relationship team, helping us to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients in support of our mission to be the most trusted financial services company in the world. You'll assist our Client Service team by providing strategic, proactive approaches to identify cross-selling opportunities that enable us to be advocates to our clients and to help build enduring customer relationships.
During the first half of your internship, an experienced Client Service Professional will help you learn more about their role and understand the challenges and rewards Client Service positions offer. You’ll have various responsibilities including researching and resolving questions or issues related to client checking accounts or loans, researching overdrafts and maintaining accounts by collecting and preparing documents from clients. You’ll also grow to appreciate the value of our holistic premier client service model, which is based on the idea that the retention of every client has a profound impact on the firm’s continued profitability and growth potential in today’s highly competitive environment.
For the remainder of your internship, you’ll transition to more independent work, building on the foundational skills you’ve gained and leveraging them to take on more complex and strategic challenges. Your additional responsibilities may include opening and closing accounts, participating in calling efforts answering client calls and resolving issues. You’ll be an active member of the service team, serving as a backup for Client Service Professionals who may be away from the office. In addition to working with clients, you’ll be assigned a strategic business case project that will further enhance your teamwork skills and allow you to share innovative ideas that improve client service with senior management.

As a Commercial Banking Summer Analyst, you’ll develop and strengthen your business and analytical skills while learning more about succeeding in the financial sector. Your daily responsibilities will vary but may include researching industries and markets, analyzing credit applications and financial information—or assisting with underwriting duties.

As a Commercial Term Lending Summer Intern, you’ll support an experienced Client Manager in providing financing for investment properties across the largest sector of our Commercial Real Estate business. You’ll assist in building relationships with clients and real estate professionals to drive sales and have the opportunity to learn more about the loan origination process from submission to closing, including in-depth knowledge and understanding of all current loan programs, appraisals and closing processes. You’ll work with prospective borrowers to collect required loan application documents and Client Managers will rely on you for help with “call strategy” assistance and execution, sales and marketing client correspondence, and providing quality client service. You will also have the opportunity to network with other interns, work colleagues and senior managers.
With the summer program’s foundation, you will have a head start on your career path in Commercial Term Lending as a Client Manager.

As a member of the Commercial Banking Analyst Program, you will complete intensive training and gain invaluable on-the-job experience to help you build a strong foundation in the skills required to launch a successful career with our Commercial Banking team.
You’ll learn to understand and identify credit risks so that you can act as a strategic consultant to our clients and help them to make informed lending decisions. You’ll become an active member of a specific banking or underwriting team with one of our four Commercial Banking businesses, in which you’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute your knowledge, insight and ideas to the team.
After approximately two years as a credit analyst, you will have the opportunity to remain on a credit track as an underwriter or pursue the relationship building aspect of the business as an associate banker.
On the credit track, you will learn how to appropriately assess and manage the risk in your portfolio. You will be a partner to the bankers in the market, striving to balance sales and credit quality goals. You will learn how to utilize excellent credit skills to author intelligent and concise relationship and risk analyses using appropriate structure.
On the banking track, you will learn how to grow, manage and retain profitable relationships, which you’ll accomplish by delivering value-added solutions to our clients and prospects that help them attain their goals and maximize our revenue. Additionally, you will learn how to identify cross-sale opportunities, to coordinate the interaction of clients with product partners and to execute all “know your customer” and compliance requirements.
Training begins with a robust 10-week program based in Chicago. Here, you’ll be immersed in our products, services, clients and business practices. In sessions taught by Chase lending and training professionals and outside consultants, you will gain in-depth knowledge of accounting, commercial banking, underwriting, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis and credit structuring, among a host of other topics. The program uses a full range of teaching techniques and learning reinforcement, including lectures, team exercises, exams and case studies. For the remainder of the program you will receive ongoing training in both credit and banking skills through virtual sessions, in-person classes and mentoring relationships with experienced bankers and underwriters.

Be an integral part of the nation’s real estate industry as a Commercial Term Lending Analyst. Chase’s Commercial Term Lending business provides financing for investment properties, which include stabilized apartment buildings, office, industrial and retail properties in 15+ markets nationwide. In this role, you will learn the ins and outs of your job through a comprehensive 90-day new hire training session as well as through on-the-job assignments. During training, you’ll be immersed in learning about our lending and business practices as well as our clients. The length, format and location of the training will be determined closer to your start date, and you will be notified well in advance regarding the structure of the training program. Upon completion of the formal training program, you will be partnered with an experienced Client Manager and actively participate in sales initiatives in your market.
